'Some Place, Some Where' is an abstract tribute to the quiet majesty of sunset over the Australian outback. Layered with acrylic, oil pastel, pencil, and ink, the painting captures the final glow of day as it washes over distant mountain ranges, casting long shadows and igniting the sky in warm, radiant hues.
Hints of silhouetted birds drift across the canvas—subtle yet symbolic—evoking freedom, solitude, and the timeless rhythm of nature. Textural contrasts and gestural marks bring the landscape to life, not through literal detail, but through mood, memory, and motion. This piece is both a place and a feeling: a fleeting moment suspended between light and dusk, somewhere deep in the heart of the land.
The sides of canvas have natural paint bleeds from its creation (as photographed). A protective varnish has been applied which helps seal and protect the artwork. Some of these pictures depict it framed to show the audience what it would look like framed, it is however sold unframed and is ready to hang by virtue of a wire across the back of the painting.
Measuring 91 cm x 122 cm this painting is sold unframed framed, signed and ready to hang.
This painting is available to purchase through the 'Silt & Sky' starting July 1st, 2026 Exhibition and will be available to collect on July 28th through Fun Haus Factory, Gosford.
